Definition:

Uvea is the pigmented layer of the eye lying beneath the sclera and cornea, and comprising the iris, choroid and ciliary body.

Symptoms:

The Signs and Symptoms characteristics of Uveitis include : Eye redness, Eye pain, Light sensitivity, Blurred vision, Dark floating spots in your field of vision, (floaters) Decreased vision.

Investigations:

Investigations include Fundus Photography, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Ultrasonography and Optical Coherence Tomography.

Treatment:

Treatment modalities available are: Phacoemulsification for Uveitic complicated cataracts, Intravitreal injections, Vitreoretinal surgery and Argon laser photocoagulation.
